The Japanese think,

That Westerners,

Do Not Understand,

The concept of,


Its celebration of,

The beauty,

Of imperfection.

Of frayed edges,

Cracks and glitches,

Dropped stitches.

The delight,

In the marks left behind,

By use;

The stories in the scars,

And the passage of time.

I think,

The Japanese are wrong.
