We thought that Jacob Morgan, writing for Forbes, had an interesting take on the concepts of ‘knowledge work’ and ‘knowledge workers’: they’re old hat.

For Morgan, knowledge is now a commodity: ‘to be the smartest guy in the room all you need is access to a smartphone’.

So what makes a difference to businesses, he says, is whether the workforce comprises ‘learning workers’: people who are able to learn, and then apply, new things.
